Le territoire de Longwy, confront\u00e9 aux fermetures d\u2019usines sid\u00e9rurgiques \u00e0 partir des ann\u00e9es 1970 et \u00e0 la reconversion qui en d\u00e9coule, est un cas typique de la mani\u00e8re dont les politiques publiques vont mobiliser la notion de territoire. Autrefois appropri\u00e9 par la population ouvri\u00e8re dans le cadre de la solidarit\u00e9 salariale, le territoire longovicien change de statut. Les acteurs de la reconversion qui mobilisent la notion en font une caract\u00e9ristique disqualifiante qui modifie le statut des travailleurs eux-m\u00eames&nbsp;: d\u00e9finis n\u00e9gativement par leur appartenance territoriale, ils doivent prouver leur employabilit\u00e9. Cette mutation s\u2019incarne dans l\u2019histoire de la constitution d\u2019un \u00ab&nbsp;employeur territorial&nbsp;\u00bb constitu\u00e9 d\u2019un r\u00e9seau d\u2019interm\u00e9diaires de l\u2019emploi publics et priv\u00e9s.
